You need to Sign Up and fill in all the required details and pay the registration fees. Once your details and payment are verified you will receive your unique JCA ID/ username via email. Your account details will be verified by the admin and approved within 72 hours

Your registration code is valid for 1 year from the date of your registration.

Yes, as it is crucial while JCA ships your certificate/ medal/ trophy.

Junior Cube Association organizes competitions and events with a particular age group of individuals. In order to provide a fair platform to the community of cubers, JCA requests you to submit your ID proof.

Aadhaar card / Birth Certificate / PAN CARD

  • Once entered by you, it gets locked. To get it changed, write to us on juniourcubeassociation@gmail.com with the reason for change in your mentor name. JCA will validate and change if it is approved by them. 

You can mention your Parent’s / Gaurdian’s email address and their contact number, and regularly check the email inbox and Whatsapp for regular updates.

  • To change your profile picture, go to edit profileand click on the change image icon (follow the guidelines mentioned to have a smooth transition).

EVENT DETAILS

  • You can check for all upcoming competitions at All Competitions. Also, an email will be sent to all participants on their registered email id when a competition goes live and are open for registration.

  • Check your mail/My News tab regularly for competition-related updates
  • Watch the videos on how to scramble, event flow, and more (Link)
  • Read the Rules and Regulations thoroughly (Link)
  • For Online competitions – check your internet connection stability and backup, go to the settings, set the screen time to 30 minutes, be ready with 2 devices – a laptop for the timer and a mobile phone for the zoom meeting.
  • For Offline competitions – Reach the venue 15 mins before the allotted time slot.
  • Keep your ID card with you (Aadhar card, Pan card, Passport)
  • Before the competition – Be ready with completely solved cubes.

  • Tentative time table is provided on ALL COMPETITIONS, EVENT DETAILS.Exact details will be shared 2 days before the competition dates via email.

It is not feasible to conduct different events back to back for an age group due to a large number of participants and the chance a child might not be able to attend the competition at the given time and will lose participating in all events instead of just one

  • Get your cubes checked by our associated mentors for NxN puzzles. For Event Clock, the organizing team will connect with you for pictures of your puzzle before the competition.
  • 3 solves will be provided for 3×3, 2×2, Pyraminx & Skewb1 solve will be provided for Mirror, Clock, 4x4x4 & High IQ(4×4, 5×5, Megaminx) event
  • First Sign up
    ● Click on All competitions and select competition
    ● Click on the upcoming competition that you would like to participate
    ● Read all the details carefully and click on the “Register” button
    ● Select the events you want to take part in and complete the payment procedure
    ● Wait for your registration to be approved, post that you will get competition updates

  • Yes, different slots are scheduled for international cubing participants (Especially for the ones the one who do not follow IST)

You will be marked absent, no participation certificate and no medal will be provided.

  • No, participants have to carry their own cubes.
  • Yes, all the participants will get participation certificatesand merit medals on the basis of their scores.

AGE CATEGORIES

  • JCA competitions are bifurcated into different age categories. They are:

    • Under 7 years
    • 7 to 9 years
    • 9 to 11 years
    • 11 to 14 years
    • Parent’s category (only if their child is participating).

    The cut-off date for each competition are different and mentioned in the competition details.

    The system will auto-assign you into the correct age bracket.

Can parents participate in a JCA competition?
Yes, parents can participate under the ‘Parent’s category’ for 3×3 cube. It is only applicable to those parents whose kids are participating in the same competition.

There is no lower age limit for kids to participate in a JCA competition as long as they can solve the puzzle completely.The upper age limit is 14 years old.Parents don’t have an age limit but they are only allowed to participate if their child is participating in the same competition

SCORES, RESULTS, SHIPPING

  • The sum of all 3 scores (taken from 3 solves) is then divided by 3.

  • For online competitions, the results are announced 3 to 4 days post the competition.For offline competitions, the results are announced on the last day of the competition in the RESULTS page. Excellence and Merit Awards will be displayed on the website in 3 to 4 days post the competition.

Shipping Charges within India are NOT CHARGEABLE. Request via mail to be sent for Shipment outside INDIA. juniorcubeassociation@gmail.com

There are 2 ways to view your scores

  • Login Into your account – Click on the Resultsand select your competition type, event and view your scoresGo to your profile – Competition results and see your scores
  • A Mail is sent to the registered email id once the shipment is dispatched with a WAY Bill to track the Courier materialOr Login your Account and go to the Tab of the Courier Tracking.

CERTIFICATES AND TROPHIES

    • Online Participants: All participants will receive e-Participation and e-Merit certificates after 2 weeks on the JCA website in the certificate tab.  Link

    Offline Participants: All participants will receive Physical Participation and e-Merit certificates after 1 weeks on the JCA website in the certificate tab.

All participants will get Merit medals – Gold, silver and bronze on the basis of their performance. Link for Merit AWARDS CRITERIA

  • In 3×3 –

Prizes for Top 4 Trophy Winners in Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 14, Parents category.

  • In 2×2, Pyraminx, Mirror, Skewb –

Prizes for Top 3 Trophy Winners in Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 14 age category.

  • In Clock, 4×4 –

Prizes for Top 3 Trophy Winners in Upto 9 years (Under 7+ Under 9), Upto 14 years (Under 11+ Under 14) age category.

  • In High IQ –

Prizes for Top 4 Trophy Winners in Upto 9years (Under 7+ Under 9), Upto 14 years (Under 11 + Under 14) age category.

  • Yes participation certificate is given to all participants who have participated in their respective events.
  • Under 7

  • Yes, If the participant completes ALL 3 CUBES in the time mentioned below –  
    • Upto 9years (Under 7+ Under 9) – in less than 30mins.
    • Upto 14 years (Under 11 + Under 14) – in less than 25mins.

No. it is only for the JCA reference.

EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Child who has participated in 3x3x3, 2x2x2, and Pyraminx and has won trophies in all 3 events of the competition (U7, U9, U11, U14) (If there is a tie position, we will consider podium winners ranking).

Girl Child who has participated in 3x3x3 cube (U7) as per cut-off date she is youngest irrespective of the score. In case there is a tie in age, then we will compare their scores.

  • Boy child who has participated in ALL EVENTS of current competition. (U7, U9, U11, U14). As per boy child’s performance and ranking after podium prize winners in all events.

Boy child who has participated in 3x3x3 cube. First boy after first four podium prizes. (U7, U9, U11, U14)

Boy Child who has participated in 3x3x3 cube (U7) as per cut-off date he is youngest irrespective of their score. In case there is a tie in age, then we will compare their scores.

  • Girl child who has participated in ALL EVENTS of current competition. (U7, U9, U11, U14). As per girl child’s performance and ranking after podium prize winners in all events.
  • Girl child who has participated in 3x3x3 cube.  First girl after first four podium prizes. (U7, U9, U11, U14)
